Gatorade vs. Coconut Water

Thinking about summer hydration for you or your little athlete? A recent athletic "suggested nutrition program" I came across had Gatorade on the list of things to consume as part of a regimen on a daily basis.  It got me to thinking, why?  Take a look at the nutritional profile here, a comparison of the two.  Here is a thought...why not make your own "natural Gatorade" by adding some fruit-a couple of berries maybe to the coconut water in a blender and rehydrate with that.  I know it is not as easy a grabbing and packing a bottle but you could add a couple of ice cubes to the coconut water in a water bottle and throw in some crushed berries and by the time they drink it, it would have a light fruit flavor.  The nutrients and the electrolytes kick Gatorade's butt :)
